traders have a word for a market that isn't going anywhere. it doesn't dump. it doesn't pump. it just drifts, left and right, forever, going nowhere in particular.
they call it crabbing.
it's been the word for a flat, directionless market since long before any of this. before dogwifhat. before apeonfone. traders were already calling it a crab market — because that's exactly what a crab does. it moves sideways. it doesn't know how to move any other way.
so somebody found a photo, on a beach, at exactly the right moment, and it turns out the whole cycle was already sitting inside a word everyone already uses.
no thesis. no roadmap. just a crab, on a beach, holding a phone it doesn't need, doing the one thing crabs are physically built to do.
moving sideways, and somehow still checking the chart.
